Wales Men: 2014 -15 training programme starts

The Dragons are ready to breathe fire into new campaigns after their heroics in Denver.

The men’s lacrosse squad is back and getting ready for the road to both 2016 European Championships and the next Under 19 Worlds in Coquitlam.

After a fantastic World Championships tournament in the US this summer and a well-earned rest, it is time to focus on the next challenge.

The Senior Men’s coaching squad welcomes any new players who are keen to represent their country and take part in a unique experience of training together and building towards the major tournaments.

The next open session will be on Sunday, October 12th, at Haberdashers Girls School, Monmouth after which a full training and game event programme for the next 12 months will be distributed and published on the online.

The full coaching squad, which took Wales through its detailed preparations and performances in Denver, will be present with a goal of integrating new players and re-establishing many of the key playing strategies and techniques.

“The World Championships was an incredible journey and experience for all of us,” said Head Coach Dan Funnell. “It was hard work, tough-going at times, but great fun and ultimately rewarding as a personal and performance experience.

“We forged an incredible team spirit and aim to keep building on that going into the European Championships in 2016 and the Under 19 World Championships in Canada.”
