Jo Elder Steps down as chair of the Welsh Lacrosse Association
WLA Chair Jo Elder has stood down from the Board after years of dedicated service. Jo has been a longstanding member of the association and has undertaken many roles including as an international player of many years standing, an official at internationals, junior coach, committee member and chair of the association.
During her affiliation with the WLA Jo was recognised as a life member for her outstanding services to lacrosse in general and Welsh Lacrosse in particular. An immensely loyal and devoted board member, Jo has worked tirelessly for the association and particularly the players with whom Jo had a special empathetic bond. Ever increasing commitments in her professional career meant of necessity that her tenure as chair of the Association had to end.
I wish to place on record my appreciation and thanks for all Jo has done for the association and Welsh Lacrosse for very many years. Jo was an excellent ambassador for all that we seek to achieve.
